Description
Jean-Yves Fremaux was born in 1947 in Marcq en Baroeul.
He has lived and worked in the Annecy region for over 30 years.
He kept from his childhood the pleasure of painting the landscapes of the north, of which he knows how to make us discover all the warmth and tenderness that rocked his first memories.
He studied medicine in Lille and left to settle permanently on the shores of Lake Annecy.
And that's when all the colors of the sky come to life, from the north of France to the cities of the south-east, from Italy to the Indian roads, in the artist's wake. A kaleidoscope of moving tones, a very personal touch in which precise details play on perfect imperfections.
The artist does not integrate any artistic movement, no fashion or appearance phenomenon, he paints for the joy of painting and the amazed gaze we cast on his work fills it beyond anything.
The works of Jean-Yves Fremaux bring light where we no longer see it.
“As usual, the deeply humanist painter offers us a radiant and charming exhibition, sublimating Annecy and its famous lake. Its vibrant play of light transports us to the gardens and alleys, through scenes imbued with romanticism, where it is good to live, to walk, to breathe, to love ... "

Presentation
Jean-Yves Fremaux is a French figurative painter, born in 1947 in Marcq en Baroeul, near Lille. He studied medicine in Lille and moved on the banks of the Annecy lake. He initially began his career in painting, exclusively with complex watercolor art and did this for several years. This is when he made a name for himself. He then moved onto oil and palette knife painting, to express his universe and passion.
Jean-Yves Fremaux cultivated a figurative vision, which was out of sync and poetic. The artist is able to restyle architectures, chiaroscuro and moments of life with great expertise. The artist doesn't use any artistic movement, trendy phenomenons and doesn't paint for appearance sake, he paints for simple happiness and feels fulfilled when a viewer is enthralled in front of his work.
