Description
A feminine silhouette dominates the center of the composition. She turns her back to the viewer. Her bearing evokes the elegance of Japanese traditions.
The clothing captures all attention. A play of contrasting colors animates the fabric. The deep blue mixes with shades of ochre and flamboyant red.
The work of the material brings relief. The paint seems sculpted on the canvas. The touches are generous, almost tactile. The background, in neutral and earthy tones, accentuates the brilliance of the pigments.
The face remains hidden. Only the hairstyle, adorned with a golden ribbon, emphasizes the grace of the posture. This composition plays on mystery and contemplation.
The whole exudes a solemn serenity. The gaze gets lost in the folds of the kimono and the chromatic variations. The balance between the areas of shadow and light structures the space.
The artist favors an expressive approach. The form fragments to better suggest movement. The final rendering is characterized by the impasto of the paint and the richness of the warm hues.
Presentation
I grew up in a family where art was predominant, but in a more recreational way.
My practice started with plastic art, and changed following repeated visits to my aunt's old studio. The passion was born amidst tubes of oil paint, brushes, and turpentine essence
I later discovered the world of the painter Pascal Cessou by spending some time in his studio and later, I took painting classes with Michel LHOTE for two years.
In my artistic journey, I have done interior decorations in acrylic, pastel, and oil paint, today I mainly do oils on canvas.
My initial training is in a higher education program in design and architecture, a more technical approach to drawing. I did eight years of interior design in a contemporary style, for a French design brand.
In 204, after a personal reevaluation, I obtained a state diploma, I also did humanitarian work
I have been painting for about thirty years and since May 2026 I have settled as a Painter Artist.
Women are the main subject of my art, even if I sometimes wander into other areas.
