2020 or the time of confinement, of canning. Far from the XXL screens in my studio, I work with 20 x 20 cm squares. In this surface with four closed sides, I discover a multitude of independent worlds. Each square has its own life, its history, its texture. Combined with others, it becomes part of a larger narrative. The 24 fragments dialogue, organize or oppose each other. As soon as the ink hits the paper, I lose control and let them write a new script. With each draw, I am taken on board by a story, which keeps escaping me.

Thomas Berthier is a silkscreen artist born in 1980 in the north of France.trained at the arts-décoratif de Strasbourg option "graphic communication".it is during his studies that he discovers in screen printing the perfect tool to express and release his creative energy.
After more than 15 years as a freelancer in the graphic and visual creation, he creates in 2018 his workshop of artisanal silk-screen printing.His universe is a bubbling mixture of graphic design, illustration and detour which allow him to put on paper an original, spontaneous and poetic world.
