Description
Collecting sea glass is popular for those who can find it. Broken bits of glass get rubbed smooth by the sand and waves. The most common colors are the soft greens and teals. That was how this painting spoke to me. This was done with quality oil paints on stretched linen. It's wired to hang vertically but could be oriented differently.
Presentation
Artist Statement:
Every painting is personal in some way to the artist alone, but I hope viewers of my work will experience some sort of remembrance, thought or connection that's uniquely theirs. I love the fluid process of creating with oils, always seeking a harmony of color, texture, and space.
There is a wonderful tactile joy in pushing paint around- much like the finger paints we all loved as children. I love that if something doesn't work I can revisit it and try again.
