Description
Mix of different mediums in a plastic and graphic approach. Play of material through transparency and relief.
Presentation
Just has established himself in the contemporary art scene with his canvases featuring raised lettering, characterized by their chromatic vibrancy and visual energy. Having inherited a graffiti practice initiated in his adolescence, the artist transposes his technical mastery of aerosol to a semantic reflection on our era.
His work unfolds like a linguistic game where words reveal the contradictions inherent in our consumer societies. Through misinterpretation, subversion, and spoonerisms, Just illuminates contemporary alienation, transforming ills into words.
These verbal reflections take the form of striking slogans, borrowing the impactful power of advertising language. The polychromy, the relief effects, and the contrasts create a dialectical tension between concealed truths and blatant lies.
The graffiti aesthetic persists in this work: spontaneity, a defiant dimension, and a strong visual presence assert a fragment of urban life with a powerful, subversive edge. The artist asks: why do we remain blind to our own paradoxes?
