Description
2STRASH
"Harlequin" by Alexander Strashevich is a vibrant abstract painting that draws inspiration from the whimsical and theatrical figure of the harlequin. The artwork features bold patterns of diamonds in black and gold, a characteristic motif often associated with the harlequin's costume, symbolizing duality and playful intrigue. The fluid shapes and warm palette of reds, yellows, and browns suggest movement and liveliness, evoking a sense of rhythm and performance. The use of layered curves and sharp angles reflects the complexity of human emotions, as the harlequin character is known for embodying both joy and melancholy. Strashevich's work explores themes of contrast—light and shadow, playfulness and seriousness—inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface and discover the subtle dynamics of inner expression and transformation within the abstract forms.

The creative heritage of Alexander Strashevich includes not only works of monumental painting, but also paintings of building interiors, exterior mosaics, and sculptural works. In his work, Alexander prefers a modern plastic and color worldview, which allows him to harmoniously combine his works with modern interiors, including those in the high-tech style. His works show a plastic connection between sculpture and painting. He prefers abstract and postmodern styles, although he also writes realistic works.
