Les poissons bleus, 2024

This artwork, striking at first glance in its simplicity, reveals a vibrant underwater world, evoked by the bold use of colours and fluid forms. It consists of four stylised fish, presented horizontally and nested. The fish are distinguished by their intense, almost electric blue colour, creating a striking contrast with the bright green contours that envelop them. The artist uses a fluid painting technique, allowing the colours to blend slightly in certain areas, suggesting the delicate movement of aquatic life. This exceptional chromatic contrast immediately attracts the viewer's attention, while evoking a sense of calm specific to the marine depths. The background of the work is treated with soft and light hues, probably to accentuate the floating effect and to give the fish the optimal illusion of swimming freely in their natural habitat. This juxtaposition of cool and calming tones with the vibrant colours of the fish highlights the artist's talent for capturing the essence of the underwater environment while stylising natural forms. The unique charm of this work lies in its ability to simplify marine life in a way that remains both accessible and extraordinarily expressive. The work succeeds in seducing the observer by transporting him or her to a world where art and nature harmoniously intertwine. A masterpiece of evocative minimalism that, through its bold palette, invites serene and introspective contemplation.
