Description
This captivating work features an abstract silhouette emerging from a deep blue background. The bold use of blue dominates the composition, evoking an atmosphere that is both calming and mysterious. The figure, suggested by clean lines and geometric shapes, appears to float or dance, giving a sense of subtle movement. The interplay between rough texture and smooth surfaces enriches the visual dimension, skillfully playing with light to create delicate shadows. The absence of distinctive features on the silhouette leaves room for interpretation, allowing the viewer to project their own emotions and narratives. The originality of the work lies in its ability to combine formal simplicity with expressive depth, thus consolidating the captivating power of its minimalist aesthetic.
Presentation
François Sauvage is a self-taught artist whose particularity is the modeling of leather. After spending fourteen years in art workshops in Paris, he developed a unique technique that allowed him to shape life-size leather figures. Exhibited and sold all over the world, this particular mastery earned him to collaborate in the renovation of prestigious places where his decoration proposals combined aesthetics and refinement.
Since 2021 he has devoted himself entirely to his passions: clay and painting.
His large-format paintings impose and reveal a palette of colors that are sometimes soothing, playful with a pure lightness, at the same time powerful, deep and sensitive.
