Description
The human figures, depicted with bold, impasto brushstrokes, stand out for their contrasting ochre hue against a deep blue background. The artist masters the superposition and intertwining of bodies, creating an intriguing visual harmony. Each figure seems to interact, evoking a lively and poetic scene, imbued with humanity and silent dialogue. The rich texture and vigorous application of color add a tactile depth to the whole, allowing the work to stand out for its intensity and expressiveness.
Presentation
François Sauvage is a self-taught artist whose particularity is the modeling of leather. After spending fourteen years in art workshops in Paris, he developed a unique technique that allowed him to shape life-size leather figures. Exhibited and sold all over the world, this particular mastery earned him to collaborate in the renovation of prestigious places where his decoration proposals combined aesthetics and refinement.
Since 2021 he has devoted himself entirely to his passions: clay and painting.
His large-format paintings impose and reveal a palette of colors that are sometimes soothing, playful with a pure lightness, at the same time powerful, deep and sensitive.
