Description
This captivating painting captures an urban scene bathed in golden light. Two towering buildings frame a narrow street, their nuanced facades reflecting the rich array of warm colors inspired by the sunset. A dramatic sky, swirling with whites and blues, contrasts with the brilliance of the sun, suspended in the upper corner, symbolizing the unity between the celestial and the earthly. In the center, a solitary figure walks in balance on a thin line, representing the search for balance in urban life. This human presence brings a poetic and introspective dimension to the work. The dynamic and textured brushstrokes emphasize the movement and energy of the city, giving the whole a striking visual harmony. It is a masterful exploration of light, shadow, and human emotion.
Presentation
Self-taught French painter, trained in various courses and workshops but also at the School of Fine Arts in Narbonne, Christine Desplanque draws her inspiration from currents as varied as Impressionism, Intuitism and Resilience Art.
His bright and colorful paintings are an ode to nature: they do not seek to describe it or to represent it, but rather to allow each sensibility to walk there, as one wanders in oneself.
The book "Reminiscences" by Christine Desplanque and Rémi Grassart was published in 2022 by Humbird and Curley, presenting part of her artistic universe. She receives the public prize at the 8th International Salon of Resilience Art.
For the past few years, Christine Desplanque has been holding exhibitions in her region, in Paris, and one is planned for London in July 2023.
