Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

The black-and-white floral artwork "Flower Bouquet", created by French artist Natalya Mougenot, is part of her Floral series.

Adopting an abstract approach, Natalya works intuitively, without a predefined plan, embracing the freedom of spontaneous creation. For her, completing the piece in a single sitting is vital, as it allows her to channel her emotions and energy directly onto the canvas—a process she cannot replicate once the work is finished.

The central themes of this piece revolve around energy, renewal, vitality, and the surge of positive emotions—elements Natalya views as integral to the human experience. She believes that only through vitality can we fully experience emotions, compelling us to embrace both life's beauty and its challenges.

This artwork offers a powerful exploration of monochromatic expression, depicting a vase of abstract flowers through bold, dynamic brushstrokes that dominate the canvas. The grayscale palette gives the piece a timeless quality, accentuating the play of light and shadow. Each stroke is full of movement, conveying a sense of the flowers gently swaying. The abstract style omits detailed representation in favor of emotional impact, inviting the viewer to appreciate the raw beauty of texture and form. A rough, textured background contrasts with the vibrant central arrangement, enhancing the overall balance and spontaneity of the composition. The work reflects the seamless blending of simplicity and complexity, capturing attention with its striking minimalist elegance.

The painting is created with oil paints on heavyweight, professional, acid-free paper.
