Description
This captivating artwork portrays a tranquil snowy village from an elevated perspective. The scene is composed of numerous geometric buildings, each uniquely shaped, painted in soothing shades of blue, beige, and white. The rooftops are blanketed with pristine snow, reflecting a serene winter's day. The artist skillfully uses a mixture of sharp angles and soft curves, creating a dynamic contrast that draws the viewer's eye across the canvas. The cool color palette evokes a sense of calm and peacefulness, while the interplay of light and shadow adds depth and dimension. The clever arrangement of the buildings creates a sense of harmony and interconnectedness, suggesting both individuality and community within the village. Overall, the artwork impressively balances simplicity and complexity, capturing the quiet beauty of a snowy day in a uniquely abstract style.
Presentation
My work focuses on imaginary buildings, streets and houses that I photograph. I usually use dark backgrounds with bright colours to generate chromatic contrasts, although sometimes I invert the formula with a reduced palette on a white background. I paint scenes that evoke silence, reflection, solitude and introspection, exploring human presence or absence. I seek to transport the observer to my emotions and, at the same time, allow them to connect with their own. Each interpretation enriches the dialogue between the work and the person who contemplates it.
