Description
This artwork vividly depicts a serene winter night scene. A row of colorful houses—painted in bold hues of blue, purple, gray, and yellow—stand against a dark sky, their snow-laden roofs gleaming. Each house emits a warm glow from its windows, suggesting a cozy interior amidst the cold. The subtle play of light and shadow on the textured facades enhances the depth and realism of the scene. In the foreground, a solitary figure dressed in black walks across the snowy ground, adding a sense of movement and narrative intrigue. A single barren tree, dusted with snow, frames the composition, reinforcing the season's chill. The contrast between the vibrant colors of the buildings and the starkness of the snow creates a striking visual impact, highlighting the unique blend of warmth and solitude that defines this captivating piece.
Presentation
My work focuses on imaginary buildings, streets and houses that I photograph. I usually use dark backgrounds with bright colours to generate chromatic contrasts, although sometimes I invert the formula with a reduced palette on a white background. I paint scenes that evoke silence, reflection, solitude and introspection, exploring human presence or absence. I seek to transport the observer to my emotions and, at the same time, allow them to connect with their own. Each interpretation enriches the dialogue between the work and the person who contemplates it.
