Description
Klish 70
Andriy Klishyn's painting "Seaside Street Landscape" presents a dramatic and vivid contrast between the natural world and human habitation. The composition is divided into three striking sections: the deep blue sea stretching across the horizon, a cluster of warm-toned buildings glowing with fiery hues on the right, and a solitary green house on the left, standing quietly in contrast. The sky, dominated by heavy, textured storm clouds, adds a sense of movement and intensity, suggesting an impending change in weather. The brushwork in the clouds and sea gives the painting an almost turbulent energy, reinforcing the unpredictability of nature. The houses, painted in bold reds and yellows, symbolize warmth, life, and human resilience, while the single green house, placed apart from the others, evokes themes of solitude and contrast between community and isolation.Through "Seaside Street Landscape", Klishyn explores the delicate relationship between nature and civilization. The painting invites viewers to reflect on the balance between solitude and connection, the forces of nature, and the contrasting emotions that a place by the sea can evoke—serenity, drama, and contemplation.
Presentation
Born on February 27, 1958 in the city of Kirovabad, Republic of Azerbaijan. Almost immediately after birth he moved to Eastern Kazakhstan, to the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. He graduated from the Technical and Economic Institute and worked as an engineer, teacher, and then in the field of insurance, finance and banking. Since May 2014, a forced migrant has been living in Kyiv.
The artist about himself:
“As a professional artist, I started my career late, at 61 years old. But it is possible that this was what should have happened. Everything has its time. Rich life experiences have become the source of my creativity. My art is ambiguous and unlike any other, probably because “I paint with my heart." Sometimes I use an intuitive drawing, namely: not from life or from a photograph, but only what suits the subconscious, soul, heart.
Most importantly and completely unexpectedly for me, after a series of works I began to understand where my images come from... I think that I or my essence saw them in our past or future life.
Despite my little experience, I already have more than two hundred paintings, about forty of them have found “their home" in private collections and museums."
The paintings are in the Lutsk Art Museum, in the Korsakov Family Museum of Contemporary Art.
