Description
This fascinating work captures an urban night scene, bathed in the soft light of the moon. On the right, a woman in a yellow dress stands on a balcony, deep in thought and absorbed in the tranquillity of the sleeping city. The surrounding buildings are painted in earthy tones, their illuminated windows creating a striking contrast with the blue-green sky. The artist skilfully plays with light and shadow, evoking an atmosphere of melancholy serenity. The composition, balanced and harmonious, guides the viewer's gaze through the scene, while prompting reflection on solitude in the midst of urbanity. The choice of colours expresses a subtly nostalgic palette, accentuating the timelessness of the moment captured.
Presentation
The Spanish artist, Alejandra Caballero did her training at the Fine arts University of Madrid and got a Rodriguez-Acosta Foundation grant in Granada in the field of painting, as well as the Lopez Villasenor grant in the same specialty.
Alejandra Caballero's paintings are intimate, figurative, poetic and introspective. Her most recurring theme is the female figure and her daily environment. (As a common habit, she models for herself). The sea and childhood are her favorite subjects. She eliminates superfluous and anecdotal aspect and focuses on reality. She uses clear and bright colors although her works are sometimes filled with melancholy and loneliness.
