"Grape Wine" is a vibrant exploration of form, color, and symbolism, where Anatoly Kost transforms everyday objects into a dynamic interplay of abstraction and narrative. Three bottle-like silhouettes dominate the composition, their contours dissolving into a background of bold geometric shapes and expressive color fields. The contrast between the rich, warm reds and oranges and the deep, cool blues creates a sense of both balance and tension—an echo of the dualities inherent in art and life.
The fragmented interior of the leftmost bottle reveals an inner world of fluid shapes, evoking the organic nature of wine itself—a substance that embodies time, tradition, and transformation. The middle and right bottles stand as solid, almost monolithic forms, suggesting themes of memory, preservation, and absence. Through his signature ArtHouse abstraction style, Kost invites the viewer into a visual dialogue where color and form transcend mere representation, becoming vessels for deeper philosophical contemplation.

Anatoly Kost (Kostyuk) is an outstanding Ukrainian artist, born in Volyn in 1960, and his career has been over 35 years. His works in the style of abstract art are currently in many private European collections and the National Art Museum of Ukraine. With his works, the artist visited international exhibitions. The artist adheres to the concept of the process of transmuting the energy of abstract art into the energy of music or choreography and vice versa, noting their mutual polyphony. An essential factor in the forces of his work are the masterpieces of world musical classics and choreography, which became the basis for determining the personal philosophical direction in abstraction, namely contemp-abstraction (plastic image of the internal state).
