In "Musical Vibe," Ukrainian artist Viktor Konotopsky, inspired by Lyubov Popova's bold Constructivist and Cubo-Futurist vision, captures the energy and motion of music as a visual force. The fragmented forms of instruments—violin, trumpet, and notes—seem to dance across the canvas in a whirlwind of red, blue, and yellow tones, mimicking the pulse and rhythm of a live performance. Letters, curves, and diagonals intersect in vibrant disarray, echoing the improvisational yet structured nature of music itself. The word fragments hint at composers and genres, but the true message lies in the sensation: the electricity of sound given shape. Konotopsky doesn't just paint music—he constructs it, using geometry and color to immerse the viewer in a multisensory experience. “Musical Vibe" celebrates sound as both architecture and emotion, blending form and feeling into a dynamic symphony of the modern spirit.
Presentation
Viktor Konotopsky was born in 1967 in the village of Maleshkovka, Nedrigailovsky district, Sumy region.
Graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School and the Faculty of Arts of the Saratov State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko.
Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, and an artist in the advertising field.
In the 90s, he lived and worked in Poland (Krakow and Szczecin) and St. Petersburg.
Viktor had many temptations to catch some fashionable artistic disease, but he remained himself.
Judging his painting by the standards of world artistic fashion is as absurd as declaring love with the memorized words of a popular literary hero. In this sense, it is naive, but the naivety of a professionally educated person. His paintings are realistic, although stylized. The landscapes are easily recognizable, but they contain a generalization leading to an image.
