Description

Marsfeld LIII offers a poetic exploration of form, texture, and meaning. The composition centers on a softly defined circular zone where crushed and dried paint particles seem to recede, surrounded by a denser field of vibrant pigments. This creates a sense of quiet presence—a subtle crater-like indentation that evokes natural phenomena: an ancient imprint, a forgotten footprint, or the delicate trace of a volcano.

The surface is composed entirely of crushed, dried paint collected from the artist's palette—an approach that transforms artistic residue into new creations. Each fragment carries its own rich history, embodying layers of past artworks, reconfigured here into a new narrative. This technique turns creative waste into a meditative statement about cycles of creation, destruction, and renewal.

The muted pinks, earthy tones, and occasional bright accents interact in a complex visual field. Up close, the viewer is invited to examine countless tiny details—microscopic shards of color that sparkle and shift with the light. From a distance, the work reads as a unified, textured landscape, serene yet filled with silent energy.

is part of the artist's ongoing exploration within the Marsfeld series, where abstraction meets natural metaphor. The circular formation suggests not only planetary topographies or geological structures but also personal cycles of change. In its minimalism, the work resonates with themes of transience, memory, and transformation.

By using the remnants of his own creative process, the artist invites the viewer into an intimate reflection on art's capacity to continuously regenerate itself. is a quiet yet powerful statement on the enduring dialogue between material, process, and perception.

Presentation

Born in Bad Segeberg, my life's journey has taken me to vibrant locales such as Brazil, Spain, and the USA. I pursued my passion for art at the prestigious Falmouth School of Art and Design in England and complemented this with a diploma in Geography from Marburg University.

Since 1997, I have had the privilege of showcasing my work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in cultural hubs like Antwerp, Berlin, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and Mainz. My artistic journey also involves organizing workshops focused on experimental and expressive painting, sharing my techniques and vision with fellow art enthusiasts.

From 2007 to 2014, I operated a production gallery in Mainz, fostering a creative community. Since 2014, I have been based at my studio in Langendellschlag 62, Wiesbaden, where my creative ideas come to life. In 2021, I expanded my artistic reach by opening "ARTLET," a dedicated art outlet in the heart of the city, making my work more accessible to a broader audience.

My diverse experiences and passion for art continue to drive my creativity, allowing me to inspire and be inspired in return.
