Description
This striking artwork features a dynamic vortex of meticulously arranged, deep red scales that swirl towards the center, creating an entrancing sense of movement and depth. The uniformity of the scales is disrupted only by a singular white dove, positioned slightly off-center, introducing a powerful contrast both in color and symbolism. The glossy finish of the scales reflects light, enhancing the vibrant red hue and drawing the eye inward. This strategic play between chaos and order, warmth and disruption, invites viewers to explore themes of peace amidst turbulence. The precision in the scale arrangement showcases a masterful control over form and texture, while the lone white dove serves as a bold narrative element. This piece not only captivates visually but also provokes thought, making it a compelling study of contrast and harmony.
Presentation
Born in 1977 in Yerevan, Armenia, Aykaz Arzumanyan is a professional painter. He grew up close to the mountains Ararat, by the famous Hrazdan river where Noah settled with his ark.
In 1993, he moves with his parents to Russia and studies art law at the MGOU University. Being a legal practitioner, he is in touch with artists and galeries and organizes exhibitions of international scope. These years of accompanying and frequenting artists ignites his desire of creating his own artworks. Aykaz Arzumanyan devotes then his life to art.
After several trips to France, he moves there permanently in 2004.
Today, he is a renowned plastic artist and painter, whose studio is a laboratory where he explores techniques and materials. The artist has developed over the years a unique style, abstract and modern at the same time.
Each stroke is applied on the canvas with a great precision. The slightest slip-up causes him to begin the painting from scratch. However, his acute meticulousness does not prevent him to pour love into his work. Indeed, photographs of his paintings fail to do justice to his creations.
