Description
This artwork captures a serene seaside moment featuring a young girl standing at the edge of the ocean. The painting uses a warm color palette, with sandy browns and soft blues, evoking a sense of tranquility and nostalgia. The girl's posture, gazing towards the horizon, suggests a sense of wonder and curiosity. Her blue swimsuit contrasts with the muted tones of the sand and water, making her figure a focal point. The vivid depiction of light reflecting on her skin and the gentle waves showcases the artist's skill in capturing natural light and movement. Delicate brushstrokes convey the texture of the sea and the softness of the girl's hair, enhancing the painting's realistic and inviting atmosphere. The piece is a beautiful exploration of innocence and the timeless allure of the ocean.
Presentation
Carole Leprince is a French artist born in 1966 who lives & works in Houilles, France. Over the years, her personal photos have been the inspiration for painting. She paints both those close to her and strangers in moving settings that can contribute to spontaneous attitudes. She is keen on painting beaches, streets or parties. These photos do not need to be perfect; they are only a basis for an aesthetic space where she can drift into, and end up with a creative work before her eyes as opposed to a replica of a photo. It's an enthralling work of commitment, where each painting turns into an equation to be solved. Carole Leprince trying to put forward a layout, a secret place where each person can tell or come up with their own story.
