Description

This captivating artwork captures the vibrant essence of a bustling city square, exuding a sense of historical charm and lively interaction. Painted in soft, muted tones, the scene showcases elegantly clad figures engaging near a central fountain adorned with a notable sculpture. In the background, ornate horse-drawn carriages add a sense of movement and purpose. The artist's skillful use of brushstrokes creates a textured, almost impressionistic effect, enveloping the viewer in a dreamlike atmosphere. The subtle play of light and shadow, particularly on the fountain and distant architectural elements, enhances the depth and perspective. This work stands out for its ability to nostalgically transport the observer to a bygone era, encapsulating the vivacious spirit and intricate social tapestry of urban life. Each element is meticulously rendered, from the attire of the figures to the grandeur of the carriages, solidifying the painting's unique allure.
Presentation
In 1984, he graduated from the Art and Graphic Department of the KSPU. As a student, his abilities could not go unnoticed; he specialized in both easel and monumental painting. After graduating from the university, he passed on his knowledge to the younger generation, while simultaneously painting. His first exhibition was held in 1994. Exhibitions: Theater “Academy of Movement" in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. Kryvyi Rih, 1994, “Autumn Vernissage", Kryvyi Rih, 1995. Kryvyi Rih 1995.
His works have been repeatedly presented at international exhibitions and art galleries. And the work “Vacation" won first place in the nomination “plot painting" at the international art contest Ukrainian Art Week. On January 24, 2014, the Ukrainian Post Office issues a postage stamp No. 1352 depicting the painting “Bouquet of Daisies" by Ukrainian artist Andrii Guk. The artist mainly uses a multi-layered painting technique.
Today, Andrii works only as a painter.
Thanks to the author's technique, lively, emotional, vivid scenes from the life of European cities are born on canvas. He has repeatedly donated funds from the sale of his paintings to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
