Description
This artwork, a captivating round canvas, enthralls viewers with its deep, textured surface reminiscent of cracked earth or charred wood. The monochromatic black palette emphasizes its dramatic texture, conjuring images of cosmic landscapes or lunar surfaces. The intricate network of fissures creates a dynamic contrast between light and shadow, inviting contemplation of the natural elements and the passage of time. Its circular form suggests eternity and continuity, guiding the observer to an introspective journey. The innovative use of texture elevates the piece beyond mere visual appeal, engaging the viewer's tactile imagination. This distinctive composition stands as a bold statement in contemporary art, merging organic inspiration with abstract expression.
Presentation
With a decade-long career in the world of architecture and interior design, Vinyals decided to pursue his passion for art. This emerging artist, in her constant experimentation and inspired by the blown glass technique of the Mallorcan tradition and its relationship with construction, has led to creating works from reused glass and natural pigments handmade with stones, earth or clay. Vinyals' works are a testament to his love for art and nature. Recognizable by their unique style, these pieces encapsulate their own visual language, characterized by reflections, textures and tones that change depending on the incidence of light. These are capable of transmitting, thanks to the cracks in their mosaic, the imperfection and fragility of nature, but also its resilience, the ability to recover. And he has discovered in glass a duality that is also present in nature, the relationship between fragility and resistance.
