Description
The night unfolds in another dimension, gathered around a cradle. Beneath the full moon, the Goddess stands beside a sleeping infant, holding a bundle of stars on fine threads, like a celestial baby mobile. Their soft light brushes the child's face and traces the silhouette of the Goddess, who appears here as protection and care. She brings calm, rhythm, and a sense of safety, weaving the cosmic order into the first dreams of human life. In this scene, the Goddess becomes a guardian of passage, between night and dawn, between sky and home, between the infinite and the most vulnerable beginning.
Presentation
Olesia Miftahova is a Ukrainian artist based in Wales, United Kingdom.
Her practice explores how time reshapes memory and how ancient narratives transform through contemporary experience. Drawing on Celtic, Slavic, and Welsh mythology, alongside biblical imagery, she reinterprets archetypes as living forms that continue to evolve across generations.
Working primarily in acrylic, Miftahova employs symbolic imagery and a minimalist visual language to explore memory, mythology, and the shifting meanings of familiar symbols.
In 2025, she presented her solo exhibitions Garden of Memory and Garden of Memories: Growing Beyond in Wales. Her work has been exhibited internationally across the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey, the Philippines, and the United States, including exhibitions at the Taras Shevchenko National Museum (Kyiv), POSK Gallery (London), and the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art.
