Description
Winter Grace is part of Olesia Miftahova's new winter series, exploring warmth, care, memory and the quiet anticipation of the festive season.
A woman in a deep carmine-red garment holds a small lamb close to her. Behind them, a warm circle of light creates a gentle focal point, surrounded by deep winter blues and pale frosty tones. White lines across the background suggest frost and delicate winter patterns.
The image echoes familiar sacred and symbolic imagery. For the artist, it speaks broadly about care, protection and the connection between living beings.
The warm red, ochre and soft light contrast with the cool blue surroundings, creating a sense of shelter and tenderness. The painting carries a festive winter atmosphere.
With its balanced composition and restrained palette, Winter Grace can sit naturally within a variety of interiors, from contemporary and minimalist spaces to warmer, more traditional settings. Its seasonal atmosphere also makes it especially suited to the winter and festive period.

Presentation
Olesia Miftahova is a Ukrainian artist based in Wales, United Kingdom.
Her practice explores how time reshapes memory and how ancient narratives transform through contemporary experience. Drawing on Celtic, Slavic, and Welsh mythology, alongside biblical imagery, she reinterprets archetypes as living forms that continue to evolve across generations.
Working primarily in acrylic, Miftahova employs symbolic imagery and a minimalist visual language to explore memory, mythology, and the shifting meanings of familiar symbols.
In 2025, she presented her solo exhibitions Garden of Memory and Garden of Memories: Growing Beyond in Wales. Her work has been exhibited internationally across the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey, the Philippines, and the United States, including exhibitions at the Taras Shevchenko National Museum (Kyiv), POSK Gallery (London), and the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art.
