Every blue remind me of you, 2026

Barbara Schaumann

This vibrant artwork encapsulates a serene tropical oasis, flawlessly merging the interior and exterior. Dominated by vivid blues and greens, the painting portrays an inviting patio overlooking a tranquil sea. A bold red and orange floral couch is the focal point, accentuated by an array of patterned cushions that add texture and warmth. Palm fronds frame the scene, their presence introducing movement and life. A wicker chair and a circular table topped with books and a vase complete the cozy setting. Beyond the patio, the sea stretches indefinitely, its surface calm and reflective under a sky where soft pink clouds hover. The overall composition creates a harmonious balance between comfort and the beauty of nature, evoking an idyllic escape.

Barbara Schaumann's latest collection brings together traditional oil painting with delicate stitching to create vibrant, textured pieces. Inspired by the relaxed feeling of tropical holidays, these works invite you to slow down — to escape into moments of warmth, ease, and quiet longing.

With bold colours, soft light, and breezy compositions, the paintings capture the laid-back rhythm of holiday life. Added thread details, carefully stitched into the canvas, highlight small elements and bring a subtle, tactile layer to the work — adding intimacy and depth without overpowering the calm, open feel of each piece.
