Description
This acrylic painting captures the essence of a joyful celebration. The brush traces a dreamlike world where gravity disappears. Animal and human figures come alive in a bright blue sky.
The artist deploys a solar palette. Yellow dominates the winged creatures and musical instruments. A large colorful balloon looms over the scene, like a protective sun.
The visual rhythm relies on curved lines and spontaneous gestures. Musicians blow into trumpets while fantastic beings dance in the air.
The influence of travel and intercultural encounters is read in this expressive composition. The scene evokes a popular festival transposed into an imaginary space.
The treatment of light brings immediate clarity to the whole. Movement is accentuated by quick strokes and generous touches of paint.
This creation mixes elements of daily life with marine and musical fantasy. The eye circulates between stylized stars and silhouettes in zero gravity.
Presentation
Marco was born in Munich in 1973. After studying art in Cardiff and Falmouth (Great Britain), he received a UNESCO scholarship for a residency at the Paa Ya Paa art center in Nairobi ( Kenya). The resulting work will be exhibited at the UN headquarters in Gigiri.
During his travels around the world, he tries various artistic practices, such as metal sculpture, the creation of installations and ornamental photography. At the pace of his travels, Marco's work is also imbued with his various human and artistic encounters, thus becoming the original product of an intercultural fusion.
Even beyond the singularity of his career, it is the playful musicality that emanates from Marco's paintings that makes each of his works a real concentrate of happiness and expressionist inventiveness. The artist invites us through each of his compositions to enter weightlessness into a positive universe. An ode to Carpe-Diem!
Now based in the south of France, Marco exhibits permanently, in France, at the Galerie Plurielle in Sète (34).
