Description
This composition is part of a spontaneous abstraction approach. The India ink spreads on the paper with a natural fluidity. The shapes intertwine in organic curves. Gray dominates the scene. It creates plays of transparency and depth. A sharp contrast appears with the insertion of yellow touches. These flashes of color attract the eye. They bring a solar light to the heart of the movement. The structure evokes a fragile balance between chaos and serenity. The white void of the support actively participates in the reading. It allows the dark masses to breathe. The gesture is free and instinctive. The artist explores here the material and its unpredictable reactions. The piece ends with a traditional red seal located in the bottom right. This detail brings a final graphic punctuation to the whole.
Presentation
"The ear has nothing to do here!!! It is the eyes that hear."
I work my paintings on canvas or wood panel with oil paint, in several very thin layers and my silver photos are reworked on the computer.
My subjects of inspiration range from old paintings to images that cross my dreams and my times of meditation.
Any subject appeals to me and even more so the feminine…sacred, chaos, the soul and the spirit. Currently, quantum physics and field theory question me and push me towards these quantum tables!
Following a severe depression and lung cancer in 2015, I discovered a new medium, Indian ink and paper, which I call "evaporescences", these are abstract paintings and as spontaneous as possible. I also work in photography and digital editing.
