Description
A rigorous exploration of structure and chaos. This artwork merges the precision of photography with the tactile nature of mixed media. Geometric forms collide in a deliberate dance of tension and balance. Sharp lines slice through the composition. They create a skeletal framework that anchors the floating elements.
This mixed media artwork is a lambda c-print on fine art paper between dibond ]bottom] and acrylic glass [top] . Ready to hang, combining painting techniques and photoart to create a photo-impressionist style.
The palette balances soft pinks and vibrant yellows against deep, void-like blacks. These contrasts evoke a sense of urban architecture seen through a fractured lens. Acrylic layers and collage elements add physical depth. The use of plexiglass enhances the luminosity of the C-print. This combination creates a polished yet raw surface.
The composition reflects a journey toward simplification. It strips away the figurative to reveal a mystical essence. Each rectangular block acts as a window into a fragmented reality. The arrangement suggests a blueprint of human emotion. It is a study of imperfection within a controlled grid. The viewer is invited to find order within the visual noise. The final result is a sophisticated dialogue between digital clarity and painterly intuition. The piece concludes with a subtle interplay of texture and light across its surface.
Presentation
Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art, Painting and New Media.
Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
