Description
The gaze occupies all the space. A deep blue iris captures the light and attracts attention. The line is precise, almost photographic, in the rendering of the eyelashes and the pupil.
The artist uses a mixture of dry pastels and acrylic. This technical duality opposes the finesse of the drawing to the spontaneity of the paint splashes. Golden and blue splatters break the rigor of the portrait.
The female face is reduced here to an intimate detail. The work explores strength and fragility through the intensity of a single eye. The ochre background brings an earthy warmth that contrasts with the coldness of the blue.
The composition plays on textures and chromatic contrasts. The final rendering emphasizes a constant metamorphosis, between the precision of the line and the freedom of the gesture. This figurative creation dates from 2025 and is based on paper support.
Presentation
From a very young age, Claudia naturally gravitated towards artistic creation. Today, as a visual artist and manager of "Claudia's Workshops" (studios/gallery/café), she has found a perfect balance between creating and teaching. Eager to exchange ideas, share her knowledge, and pass on her expertise, she creates murals, exhibits in galleries, and also works on commission. Faces, fragments of bodies, gazes—Claudia presents women. She tells their stories, reveals them, unveils them, and never exhibits them. The detail of a body, a mouth releasing the warmth of life, the euphoria of a dance—each of her creations is a situation, a narrative connecting the individual to their emotions. Her paintings, created with dry pastels and acrylic splashes on paper, are a mirror of our own impulses, blending fragility and strength. This technical duality allows her to explore a balance between precision of line and spontaneity of gesture. By projecting intimacy with complete safety, by capturing the explosion without freezing it, Claudia delicately expresses her profound esteem for women. Neither virgins nor madonnas, they are revisited as amazons, as muses, constantly reinvented, in full metamorphosis, in perpetual rebirth.
