Description
This ink prolongs Manon Oller's research around the fault.
Here, the fault is no longer a line that crosses a form: it becomes the very principle of its construction. The fragments organize themselves, balance and interlock until a vertical presence emerges, between totem, organism and landscape.
The ink accompanies this research by allowing the form to appear progressively. The variations in density, the diffusions and the accidents of matter participate in this sensation of a figure in becoming, whose contours remain unstable.
This painting constitutes a space of experimentation where the fault can be thought about freely, before or parallel to its deployment in the sculpture.
Presentation
She develops a sculptural practice centered on the notion of inhabited landscape.
His works — shells, shelters, fragments — lie at the boundary between the living and architecture.
They unfold silent forms, where time seems suspended.
Based in Lyon, Manon Oller is a multidisciplinary artist whose work primarily unfolds through sculpture, in dialogue with photography and performance. A graduate of the European Institute of Ceramic Arts (IEAC), she also studied art history and archaeology at the University of Strasbourg, which inform her research on traces and temporalities.
The earth, his primary medium, is a living material, charged with memory.
His works appear as fragments of a world in transformation — between past and becoming.
