Description
Abstraction is expressed here through a dialogue between ink and paint. The gesture is spontaneous. It liberates a composition where forms intertwine without constraint.
The gaze is immediately captured by an intense turquoise blue. This color opposes the depths of a dense black and the earthy tones. The contrasts create a marked visual relief.
The movement is fluid. Fine lines traverse the work, guiding the eye towards the center of the composition. Projections and drips add an organic dimension to the whole.
The work relies on instinct. The material spreads freely on the white support, leaving room for the unforeseen. Balance arises from this tension between saturated areas and airy spaces.
This 2026 creation testifies to a research on transparency and opacity. It is composed of a controlled mixture of ink and pigments.
Presentation
From my life in Haute-Savoie on the shores of Lake Geneva to the Périgord Vert region where I settled in 2017, nothing predestined me for artistic creation. And yet, it was a part of destiny that led me to create my first canvases, and to want to do nothing else but paint, again and again.
A skills assessment helped me understand that art was the path to explore. The support process was lengthy because, being hard of hearing, I had lost all confidence in myself and my ability to achieve professional fulfillment. By instilling in me the necessary confidence to take the plunge, the artist within me was awakened!
A self-taught painter since 2021, abstract art naturally became my medium, thanks to the complete freedom it gives me to never restrict myself and to let my hand work. I paint spontaneously!
It is in the solitude of my studio that my canvases become what they decide to be...
