Description
The gesture imposes itself spontaneously on the paper. The ink guides the gaze through an intertwining of nervous lines and dark masses. The movement is fast. It captures the instant without restriction.
A contrasting palette structures the composition. The deep blue dialogues with touches of ochre and reddish-orange. These colored flashes pierce the density of the blacks to bring about a sudden light. The fluidity of the ink creates subtle gradients and areas of transparency.
The balance arises from the opposition between the rigor of the lines and the letting go of the projections. The composition rises vertically, evoking an organic or architectural structure. The white background preserves the space and accentuates the force of the stroke.
This abstract painting created in 2026 testifies to an intuitive approach to the material. The final rendering emphasizes the precision of the line and the mastery of chromatic contrasts.
Presentation
From my life in Haute-Savoie on the shores of Lake Geneva to the Périgord Vert region where I settled in 2017, nothing predestined me for artistic creation. And yet, it was a part of destiny that led me to create my first canvases, and to want to do nothing else but paint, again and again.
A skills assessment helped me understand that art was the path to explore. The support process was lengthy because, being hard of hearing, I had lost all confidence in myself and my ability to achieve professional fulfillment. By instilling in me the necessary confidence to take the plunge, the artist within me was awakened!
A self-taught painter since 2021, abstract art naturally became my medium, thanks to the complete freedom it gives me to never restrict myself and to let my hand work. I paint spontaneously!
It is in the solitude of my studio that my canvases become what they decide to be...
