Description
The ink seizes the paper with a raw spontaneity. The gesture is free. It follows no pre-established rule.
A deep cyan blue dominates the composition. It stretches in shards, like an explosion frozen in time. Dark, almost black tones come to anchor the structure. They create a sharp contrast that emphasizes the verticality of the movement.
The artist lets the material guide their hand. The fluid spreads, fuses, and saturates certain areas. Touches of ochre appear discreetly on the left, bringing a subtle warmth to the whole.
The white background remains largely visible. This void accentuates the force of the line and the lightness of the projections. The balance arises from this tension between the full and the empty.
This abstract creation dates from 2026. It combines painting and ink for a precise graphic rendering.
Presentation
From my life in Haute-Savoie on the shores of Lake Geneva to the Périgord Vert region where I settled in 2017, nothing predestined me for artistic creation. And yet, it was a part of destiny that led me to create my first canvases, and to want to do nothing else but paint, again and again.
A skills assessment helped me understand that art was the path to explore. The support process was lengthy because, being hard of hearing, I had lost all confidence in myself and my ability to achieve professional fulfillment. By instilling in me the necessary confidence to take the plunge, the artist within me was awakened!
A self-taught painter since 2021, abstract art naturally became my medium, thanks to the complete freedom it gives me to never restrict myself and to let my hand work. I paint spontaneously!
It is in the solitude of my studio that my canvases become what they decide to be...
