Beauty in the Big City, 2026

" Beauty in the Big City" from series “ Light Between Days"

Beauty in the Big City explores the delicate balance between the fast rhythm of modern urban life and the quiet inner world of a woman. Surrounded by the endless movement, pressure, and noise of the contemporary city, the figure remains deeply connected to her femininity, sensitivity, and inner calm.

In this work, Ukrainian figurative artist Halyna Kirichenko reflects on the importance of preserving softness, beauty, and emotional authenticity in a world that often demands constant speed and resilience. The city becomes not only a symbol of opportunity and ambition, but also a space where a woman searches for harmony with herself.

Rather than portraying femininity as fragility, the painting presents it as an inner strength — the ability to remain connected to one's emotions, intuition, and personal identity despite the intensity of modern life. Through warm tones contrasted with the cool urban landscape, the artist creates a quiet dialogue between the external world and the private emotional space each person carries within.

“Beauty in the Big City" invites the viewer to reflect on how, even within crowded and rapidly changing environments, it is still possible to protect one's inner light, individuality, and sense of self.

Series “Light Between Days"

In her ongoing series, Halyna explores the stages of human life — moments of transformation, contemplation, and quiet revelation that shape our inner landscapes. Each work captures a fragment of this universal journey: the search for meaning, the experience of change, the delicate balance between action and reflection.

Through minimalist composition and symbolic detail, Halyna traces the rhythm of contemporary existence — where rapid change often challenges our sense of stability, and yet, within that movement, each person seeks their own center of calm. Her characters inhabit intimate spaces of thought and emotion, revealing how the ordinary moments of everyday life can become gateways to self-understanding.

This series reflects on how we navigate our choices, how we adapt and grow, and how we find beauty in the quiet intervals between life's transitions. Halyna's work speaks gently but profoundly about resilience, introspection, and the timeless human capacity to evolve while remaining true to oneself.
