Description
A fixed gaze crosses the canvas. The face, with red and pink hues, dominates the composition. It imposes itself with a raw frankness. Around it, the deep black of the background comes alive.
Graphic signs emerge. Mysterious symbols and childlike scribbles punctuate the space. Two dark silhouettes seem to observe the scene from the shadow. This dialogue between the portrait and the abstraction creates a narrative tension.
The bottom of the composition opens up onto colored blocks. A tender pink accompanies a deep blue. Touches of pastel and pencil add relief to the acrylic.
The artist explores here the boundary between memory and reality. The stroke is spontaneous. The composition refuses rigor to favor expression. Each mark hints at a state of mind. The whole balances between naivety and introspection.
This painting from 2024 is in an aesthetic close to raw art. It plays on chromatic contrasts and the superposition of materials.
