Description
This Pop Art composition plays on the codes of musical culture. An unusual support is placed in the center of the canvas. A vintage audio cassette becomes the base of a graphic creation.
The artist uses stenciling and spray paint to superimpose strong symbols. The British flag stretches in the background with spontaneous paint projections.
The iconic red tongue inserts itself onto the plastic support. It creates a sharp contrast with the immaculate white of the cassette.
The technical approach mixes street art and found objects. The rendering is precise and graphic.
The whole pays tribute to rock icons and the aesthetic of the eighties. The black frame emphasizes the rectangular structure of the assembly.
The work dates from 2026. It combines acrylic paint and spray paint on a mixed montage.
Presentation
Mister Melody is a visual artist based in La Rochelle on the west coast of France.
Born in 1975 in the north of France, he studied art in Belgium and became a tattoo artist in 2000.
Alongside his work, he took out the spray cans and tried his hand at stenciling, but to stand out from the crowd, he had to find an original medium. It was while rummaging through his attic that he found some old audio cassettes. The original medium was all he needed!!!
The project began in 2021, currently has around thirty works and still has plenty of ideas, including spray cans encrusted with audio cassettes and customized with acrylic paint.
The "Pictorial Melody" is launched!!!
