Description
A silhouette stretches in a suspended movement. The body curves with geometric precision. The posture evokes the intensity of a passionate dance.
The oil is applied in dense layers. Ocher and earthy tones dominate the scene. They create a warm and velvety atmosphere.
The work on light emphasizes the muscles and curves. The contrast of shadows brings relief to the composition.
It is a figurative portrait that captures the instant. The gesture is seized in its maximum tension.
The play of colors recalls the aesthetic of theaters. The pictorial rendering prioritizes the sensation of movement over the purity of the line.
Attention is paid to the details of the high-heeled shoes. They anchor the figure in an urban and nocturnal reality.
This painting from 202 explores the plasticity of the human body. The whole rests on a fragile balance between strength and grace.
Presentation
I grew up in a family where art was predominant, but in a more recreational way.
My practice started with plastic arts, and changed after repeated visits to my aunt's old studio. The passion was born amidst tubes of oil paint, brushes, and turpentine essence.
I later discovered the world of the painter Pascal Cessou by spending some time in his studio and I took painting classes with Michel LHOTE.
In my artistic journey, I have done interior decorations in acrylic, pastel, and oil paint, today I mainly do oils on canvas.
My initial training is in a higher education course in design and architecture, a more technical approach to drawing.
I have been painting for about thirty years and since May 2026 I set up as Artist Painter 12 avenue Gallieni in Sanary sur Mer.
Women are the main subject of my art, even if I sometimes escape into other areas.
