Description
The gaze stops on a female face enveloped in a protective fabric. The oil on canvas captures an expression of great intensity here. The pictorial treatment favors broad and assertive brushstrokes.
The palette relies on a marked contrast between warm ochres and deep blues. These tones evoke the sea air and the harshness of the elements. The light sculpts the features with precision, highlighting the melancholy of the eyes and the fineness of the lips.
The composition focuses on the intimacy of the portrait. The white drapery, worked with luminous highlights, frames the face and creates a cocoon effect. The dark background accentuates the subject's presence and reinforces the psychological dimension of the image.
This figurative painting testifies to rigorous technical mastery. The work of the material brings relief and movement to the surface. The canvas, made in 2026, explores strength and vulnerability through a tight framing.
Presentation
I grew up in a family where art was predominant, but in a more recreational way.
My practice started with plastic art, and changed following repeated visits to my aunt's old studio. The passion was born amidst tubes of oil paint, brushes, and turpentine essence
I later discovered the world of the painter Pascal Cessou by spending some time in his studio and later, I took painting classes with Michel LHOTE for two years.
In my artistic journey, I have done interior decorations in acrylic, pastel, and oil paint, today I mainly do oils on canvas.
My initial training is in a higher education program in design and architecture, a more technical approach to drawing. I did eight years of interior design in a contemporary style, for a French design brand.
In 204, after a personal reevaluation, I obtained a state diploma, I also did humanitarian work
I have been painting for about thirty years and since May 2026 I have settled as a Painter Artist.
Women are the main subject of my art, even if I sometimes wander into other areas.
