Description
Located at the southern end of the Gulf of Morbihan, the Quiberon peninsula is known for the landscapes of its rugged, protected rocky coast, which are breathtakingly beautiful, with a feeling of the edge of the world.
This acrylic composition captures the essence of the wild coast of Quiberon. The eye travels from a rocky foreground to the horizon.
The graphic work segments the landscape into sharp planes. Shades of gray and olive green draw the mineral structure of the shore.
Blue dominates the scene. It extends from the immutable sky to the depths of the ocean. A marked contrast emphasizes the coastline.
The artist simplifies the forms to achieve an almost geometric clarity. The dark rocks stand out precisely against the white foam and the azure water.
The balance of masses creates a sense of calm and stability. The light is uniform, without cast shadows, reinforcing the synthetic aspect of the sea.
