Description
The series takes its bearings from Homer's Odyssey. The sky stands for the uncharted, greater world of risk and adventure whereas the boat implies the return through the signification of the vessel that carries the traveller home after the expedition is over. Across the three paintings, the same relationship between stability and exploration is examined. Thus, the title of this series is derived from this notion of adventure and return.
