Description
This painting is a calm, gentle landscape of a mountain village. In the foreground is a small house with a reddish-brown roof and light, almost sandy walls. Next to it grow tall, dark cypresses, whose vertical silhouettes contrast with the soft lines of the distant mountains.
The mountains in the background are in pastel shades of pink, lilac and beige, which creates the effect of a light morning stillness; the texture of the paint can be felt, as if the artist wanted to convey not just an image but the sensation of air and light.
An atmosphere of calm, quiet and gentle sadness. Everything seems frozen between days: the silence before movement, before dawn. The painting radiates tenderness and melancholy, creating a sense of a distant, cozy land where time has slowed down.
