Description
The city melts into paint, like a memory that has no time to name itself.
The old bridge, bent like a thought thrown across time,
barely carries the silence of the water on its shoulders.
The boats doze, lost in their reflections,
as if they have forgotten where to sail,
and only the birds — black strokes —
write short letters to the wind upon the air.
The walls whisper — layer upon layer,
weary, scratched, but alive,
they remember footsteps that are no longer there,
and voices that dissolved in the damp light.
In this pale, dense silence
every brushstroke is like a touch of the past,
and the water is a mirror that does not reflect
but keeps.
