Yulia Bulashenko

A deep sense of atmosphere permeates this composition. The palette leans into somber, nocturnal tones. Dark indigo masses dominate the upper frame. They loom like distant cliffs or heavy storm clouds. Below, a shift occurs. Ochre and muted gold tones emerge through fluid, broad strokes. This contrast suggests a horizon line. It hints at a landscape caught between shadow and light.
The application of paint is intuitive. The artist employs a gestural approach to evoke memory and place. Each layer feels like a visual echo. There is a cinematic quality to the framing. It suggests a fleeting moment of perception. Organic forms merge into an abstract geography. The composition avoids rigid lines. Instead, it relies on the tension between deep voids and warm highlights.
This artwork explores the intersection of pigment and emotion. The vast scale of the forms creates an immersive experience. It invites the viewer to contemplate an imagined territory. The surface reveals a careful balance of density and transparency. The final effect is one of quiet intensity. The gaze is drawn toward the soft glow of the lower plane.
