Description
Work signed on the back.
This abstract composition explores the dialogue between fluidity and structure. The eye is immediately drawn to a central core with bluish tones, evoking a expanse of water or a misty horizon. The material stretches in horizontal strata, creating a soothing visual rhythm.
The work on transparency brings a subtle depth to the whole. Vertical drips break the linearity of the center, adding an organic and spontaneous dimension. These fine lines descend towards the bottom of the support, like light rain or a liquid reflection.
The chromatic palette remains sober and luminous. White dominates the upper areas, bringing an airy clarity that contrasts with the darker tones of the base. The balance between dense areas and empty spaces structures the space.
The execution testifies to a technical mastery where the gesture is free. The superposition of paint layers creates a delicate relief. Fluid brushstrokes and washes are observed, areas that blend into one another. The whole ends with discreet projections and trails of paint that flow naturally onto the canvas.
Presentation
Of Italian origin, Lucia Diris devoted herself from a young age to painting, drawing and graphic art, studying the basics of which she studied in Urbino, at the prestigious Higher Institute of Decorative Arts (ISIA), in Italy.
After her studies, she went to France where she pursued a multifaceted career combining painting, graphic design, cinema, video, photography, ceramics….
Over the years, thanks to the knowledge gained from all these practices, his pictorial work will evolve from figuration towards an increasingly free and refined abstraction.
