Description
Abstraction flourishes here in a subtle balance between light and matter. The gaze travels through a composition rhythmized by fragmented touches. Solar and rosy hues dominate the upper part of the painting. They seem to diffuse a natural, almost atmospheric clarity.
The center of the canvas comes alive with marked contrasts. Splashes of yellow and ochre clash with purple shades. The gesture is assured, precise. The paint accumulates in zones, creating a visual relief that structures the space.
The base of the composition anchors the whole in darker tones. Deep blues and earthy reds bring a necessary stability to the whole. This chromatic transition evokes a suggested landscape, where the border between sky and earth fades.
The technical approach testifies to a multidisciplinary journey. The mastery of line and color guides the hand towards total formal freedom. Each superposition of pigments enriches the depth of the plane. The surface thus reveals itself as a play of transparencies and opacities.
Presentation
Of Italian origin, Lucia Diris devoted herself from a young age to painting, drawing and graphic art, studying the basics of which she studied in Urbino, at the prestigious Higher Institute of Decorative Arts (ISIA), in Italy.
After her studies, she went to France where she pursued a multifaceted career combining painting, graphic design, cinema, video, photography, ceramics….
Over the years, thanks to the knowledge gained from all these practices, his pictorial work will evolve from figuration towards an increasingly free and refined abstraction.
