Description
Work signed and numbered by photographer Éric BOUVET.
Fine art print, limited series of 12 copies in all formats.
Digital print from slide scan.
Print on Canson ‘baryta’ inkjet paper, Platinum Fiber Infinity, 310g.
Kabul, Afghanistan, October 2001.
"In 2000, I had managed to be 'invited' by the Taliban. I could make images… of the sky and the walls. And so that I understand correctly, I was housed in front of the Ministry of Vices and Virtue. I managed to slip away from them twice in four days, not without risk. I had made an image somewhat similar to this one but less accomplished because too little time. A year later, the Taliban were driven out by the international coalition forces. I went back to the same building. After two hours of waiting, this woman appeared."
