With Balance the artist starts exploring more deeply the boundaries of the photographic media by mixing it with different techniques on a very traditional subject (classic sculptures). Pictures come from the collections of the Archeologic Museum of Naples and the Louvre in Paris. This striking artwork features a classical marble bust juxtaposed with bold, modern elements. The head of the statue, reminiscent of ancient sculptures, is partially obscured by large strips of tape labeled "FRAGILE" in vivid red letters, crisscrossing the image. These bold elements create a stark contrast against the monochromatic texture of the marble, emphasizing themes of vulnerability and preservation. A bright yellow circle, subtly positioned behind the head, adds a splash of color, disrupting the statue's traditional elegance with a contemporary edge. A barcode and printed text further incorporates modern commercialism into the classical aesthetic.
