With Balance the artist starts exploring more deeply the boundaries of the photographic media by mixing it with different techniques on a very traditional subject (classic sculptures). Pictures come from the collections of the Archeologic Museum of Naples and the Louvre in Paris. This artwork juxtaposes classical sculpture with modern graphic elements, creating a striking dialogue between antiquity and contemporary expression. Central to the composition is a stone torso, reminiscent of ancient Greek statues, presented in monochrome. Distinct black bars obscure parts of the image, evoking a sense of censorship and mystery. A prominent red asterisk punctuates the composition, drawing attention and adding a layer of meaning or critique. The piece further incorporates red outlined rectangles and a barcode, suggestive of modern consumerism and identity. This blend of historic and modern motifs invites viewers to ponder the evolution of art and the impact of modernity on traditional forms. The use of these contrasting elements establishes a visually compelling narrative that challenges perceptions and invites analysis.
