Description
This work represents the drought to which the earth is subjected. This drought is represented by this irregular mosaic to be faithful to the roughness of this cracking earth. In addition, its "raised" character makes it possible to accentuate the message.
This foreground can be seen in two ways, either as a "slice" view of the subsoil drying up while the surface still offers an appearance of sanity, or as literally a part of this hill which is already dried up.
This work is also inspired by the wanderings of the artist during which he was able to observe that this phenomenon occurs even in regions which had hitherto been spared, which is the case in this photograph where it is apparently of a green and healthy meadow. This tree is certainly the one that hides the forest from an even darker reality.
Photograph printed on Hahnemuehle 350g Museum etching brand fine art paper, mounted on a wooden support, Venetian glass tesserae (smalti)

Presentation
Photographer for 11 years, whose photographic quest has always been that of the intact landscape. This sought-after intimacy with nature, the landscape is called into question by the omnipresence of mankind in the environment, not only because of its way of life but also of mass tourism.
Seeking to represent this impact of human beings on this nature and its environment in general (nature and the urban) with which he maintains an ambiguous relationship, he will add another medium - painting - to his photography.
Contrasting singularly with the photograph which represents a reality, the painted motif inserted therein therefore aims to question this ambiguous relationship.
Continuing the process to the end with the frame which represents artificiality, the motif itself is overflowing with it because now it is indeed Man who is the cause of everything, and no longer simply "the measure of everything" (Protagoras).
