Every evening on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans groups of young men, the Young Fellaz, create a wall of beautiful noise. Playing their battered brass for all they are worth... a raucous, exuberant sound that fills the soul.

This black-and-white photograph vividly captures the energy and spirit of the street brass band in action. The musicians, with their instruments—trombones and tubas—are energetically engaged, creating a dynamic composition that leads the viewer's eye across the scene.
